The Russians are coming! Two great Russian artists. Renown classical violinist Ashot Tigranyan is recording with a chamber orchestra accompaniment. We're recording live with a three camera video shoot. Starting with Vivaldi's "Four Seasons". This is amazing.

And also Marina Kesler, Russian singer/songwriter in the studio recording her original, very Russian, material. Incredible voice.

Fall concert with the Verdi Opera Chorus. I record their concerts twice a year, and they are magnificent.

Scored the art film "Luna", produced by Jason Artworks, and created by Phillip and Susan Jason.  Then mixed the whole sound track. What an amazing film. Look for it at festivals soon.

May, '08

Continued with the second part of audio book, "Senate Parking". It's voiced by multiple actors and full of music and sound effects. Very funny.

April, '08

Whew! Just finished the week end recording the Verdi Opera Chorus' 25th anniversary concert. I love doing this gig. I've met some amazing singers, and developed a real appreciation for opera. It's astonishing what these people can do vocally. It's stunning music and great drama.  I record them twice a year, and have for seven or eight years now. In the process, I've been able to refine my classical recording chops. And they pay me! What could be better?

March, '08

Great month! Two really big gigs. Phillip Jason's short film "Luna". Recorded the voice over with my favorite VO artist, James Mathers. And Philip has commissioned me to do the score. And Geremy Dingle produced "Senate Parking", an audio book as radio drama. Multiple voices and lots of SFX. We should be doing lots more.

February, '08

Started doing some sessions at Local #47 Studio. The studio at the Musicians' Union. These are the best players in the world! I got so excited, that I rejoined after a number of years of being inactive at the union. I think I found Jimmy Hoffa back in the mic cabinet wrapped in duct tape.

January, '08

Cut a new single with Max Holly. It's kind of a rap thing, a little different for Max. Very cool, called "Fussin' and Fightin'".

Had dinner with old friends Biff Dawes of Westwood One Remote Recording and Phil McConnell, manager of Sunset Sound Factory. These guys are real industry heavy weights, and great guys.

December, '07

Talks to do more with Silent Treatment. These guys are so good. I'm really eager to do more recording with them.

Mastered a Hip Hop/R&B record for new client Sunnee Townes, a very talented guy.

 September, '07

More work on tunes with Andy Shreve.  Had Amanda Martindale over to sing a tune for me. She's so good.

Set up a Myspace page so I could post up tunes. I reconnected with my good old buddy Fred Mitchell through it. A close friend and guy who taught me a lot about recording: analog & digital; I thought Fred died in Katrina, but, thank God, no.

August, '07:

Started the month recording vocals and playing guitar tracks for Julienne Irwin, contestant on "America's Got Talent". This girl can sing; she's another Leann Rimes. Win or lose, she's gonna be a star!
